Weekly update
I have spent most of this week working on more and more grey granny squares to keep extending the mystery CAL afghan (decided the given size was not going to be big enough) - so, not providing the most exciting photo opportunities. :-) However, I did get one good pic when Chaos decided this is now her blanket.
I tried to tell her it's not even done yet, but that didn't seem to matter much. You can tell by the look she's giving me that she was not much impressed by my logic. "It's soft and warm and belongs to me!" is all that matters to kitties.
I did pick up a neat pattern book today, so I had to put the grey squares aside for a bit and try out one of the the lacy designs. The sides came out a little bowed because I couldn't find the right size hook; but even that gives it a nice effect. It was a fun change from the standard grey squares I've been working on all week.
All in all, not the most exciting thing in the world, but I think it's pretty neat!
