Weekly Update

So I missed my Wednesday post, and will have a little more than usual today.  First things first:

The Mystery Crochet-Along!

Tuesday's clue was to add these chained Xes to each square, which went along very quickly.  I actually finished them early Wednesday afternoon, but I haven't been twiddling my thumbs since then....

My husband's new blanket: slowly but surely, little squares are getting bigger and moving from one pile to the next.  I compared the size of the finished patches on the right to the size of the blanket I made him last year and determined that I'm going to have to make probably 24 more squares than the pattern actually calls for, to increase the (eventually) finished blanket from 6x6 to 10x6 for the length he wants.

I also have the first 200 or so stitches done on my pattern from HAED!  Doesn't look like much yet, but I hope it will soon!

And lastly, this little owl (the first of my plastic-canvas Christmas ornaments) is almost done:

So it feels like a pretty productive week, overall.
